After Gangneung we headed north toward an area called Sokcho. Sokcho is famous for its beach and mountain proximity. We stayed at a hotel right on the beach and with a great a view.
The bed and couch were typical for Asia--hard and not very comfortable, but they got the job done.
You can tell Big E loved the room.
A few months ago we were able to score a baby carrier cover (kind of like this one). I would say this is a must have for city life in Korea. Everett stays super cozy in there and was napping for most of our walk, as you can see below.
Some sights along the way:
While in Sokcho we also got to explore "Rodeo Street."
And we ate some Korean fast food:
However, the highlight of our time in this little town was probably our afternoon at Soraksan National Park (more on that tomorrow).
Peace out boy scout!

Ah, bring that boy back to the states already. He is such a cutie. A perfect blend of both his parents!
