A little project

In our spare time this summer Bonnie and I have been doing some serious garage sailing. Recently we found an old dresser that we bought for $20. Then we made a little trip to Lowe's for paint and new hardware. After a little elbow grease and a spray gun paint job by Bonnie's dad we ended up with a fun new creation for our new place.

Done car shopping

As Bonnie wrote about earlier our first big purchase of the summer was our 2005 Honda Pilot. Earlier this week we finished up our car shopping by settling on this 2008 Toyota Camry hybrid.

Neither of us had driven a hybrid before so it was pretty crazy when we pulled up to our first stop sign on the test drive and the car just shut off. We have had it for about a week now and absolutely love it. I am also super excited about the fuel savings coming our way.

Because of the close proximity of my job to our house it looks like this car's primary driver will be Bonnie. If you know anything about her taste in cars you will know that she is more than okay with that.

First birthday card

Even though Everett's first birthday is still about 2 weeks away (July 22nd) he has gotten his first birthday card! Thanks Grandpa Meyer and Grandma Jean! As you can see there was much fun to be had.

E taking some first steps

Everett has been starting to take some steps over the past week.  We were finally able to capture a couple on video last night.  Hopefully there is a lot more where this came from!

Roach's

Today we got to see some great friends of ours--the Roach family.  Carly and Matt have two awesome twin girls.  We tried to get a pic of Everett and the girls; you can see how that turned out....Trying to get three kids under the age of one to "pose" is just not going to happen. 

It's so fun to watch these little ones in action.

Oklahoma

We had a great time in Lawton with Tom's parents this weekend. Their house is perfect for relaxing, swimming, swinging, and watching sunsets. We also ate some great "down home cooking." Here are a few pics from our time:

'Merica

We are currently visiting Tom's parents in Lawton, Oklahoma. Last night his folks took us to Meers for maybe the best cheeseburger I have ever had in my life. I feel like it was my welcome back to America meal...check out all this greasy goodness! Go 'Merica!

I can't believe how much changes in one year! 

We all met together after we got back from my bro's wedding and it was so fun to hang out together with our babes.  They played hard, swam together, and got plenty of cuddles.  Everett hasn't used a pacifier (by his own choice) since he was 6 months old, yet he kept stealing pacifiers from the twins! Silly boy...

There was a lot of baby loving all around!
