Adventures with Gramps--Seoraksan National Park

Seoraksan is a well-known, mountainous national park in Korea.  It is a great place to see the rugged beauty of the country.  With spring approaching we didn't know quite what to expect when we went to the park.  In the end I think our experience exceeded our expectations.
To get a better idea of the scale of the park we took a cable car up to one of the peaks.  I loved the look of this retro car.  The anxious side of me also loved that the actual cable car we took up looked nothing like this.
Here we are inside of the actual cable car; they really know how to pack tightly in Korea!
Once we got off the cable car we did a little hiking to go a bit higher on the mountain.  The views were amazing.  We like to play "Where's Waldo?" with the picture below but instead we call it, "Where's Gramps?"
As you can see from some of the pictures there was still a considerable amount of snow on the mountain even though the weather was pretty nice.

As we headed down the mountain we made our way over to a series of Buddhist temples.
Giant Buddha!

Then there was a beautiful sunset to end a great day in Sokcho/Soraksan National Park.
