let's play ball

This past week Tom and I got to check out some games.  First we went to see a Royals game with my brother, James and his girlfriend, Jen.  Luckily it was a night game so the weather was tolerable.  We also got to see some fireworks because it was "Fireworks Friday" AND it was BUCK NIGHT! Buck night is a special Royal's game event where hot dogs, soda, peanuts, and candy only cost a buck!!! It's awesome!

The hats we are wearing in this picture we got for free at a Royals game over 6 years ago when we first started dating!

Next we checked out some little league softball! My cousin, Claire, is 11 and we went to one of her games.  It was HOT!  Here's a classic picture of my mom; I thought she was pretty goofy bringing her little fan to watch the game.  Too bad the joke was on me because I was burning up in the Missouri heat and her little fan worked pretty well!
 Claire up at bat.
Claire and I after the game.  When I was in high school she came to watch me play ball, so it felt appropriate for me to come watch one of her games.
We had a lot of fun at the two games, but I think I've had my fill of outdoor sporting events in the Missouri heat while I'm 8+ months pregnant. :-)

I am so glad you are getting to do these things. Of course people tell you it all the time, but its harder to do with kids. What they don't tell you though is that they miss being CAREFREE at these activities with out kids. You can really enjoy yourself.

Of course, its fun to watch your kid at these activities. Wearing little Cards (or Royals for you!) onesies or yelling, "WACK ballie!".Its a different kind of fun.

Be sure to go to lots of movies now and drink a beer (or half or whatever you feel comfortable with). Its something I wish for now with my kids!

PS - you still look great!
PPS - start using Korean months, okay? Remember, 40 weeks = 10 months to them. You are 9 months now, right?
