It's been a while since Tom and I have been in America to celebrate the 4th of July, so we had to go check out some fireworks! Here are some pictures from our celebration of America's birthday.
To watch fireworks we headed to Tom's alma mater, Oak Park High School. There was a field by the school for us to lay down some blankets and chairs and enjoy the fireworks show.

It turned out to be a really beautiful night! It wasn't too hot, so we actually enjoyed being outside.
The fireworks themselves were a bit of a let down because there was no finale (what's up with that?!), but it was fun to be outdoors and enjoy an American tradition.
