a weekend away

This past weekend Tom and I went to visit our friends, Andy and Lindsey in Gangneung located on the east coast of Korea on the Sea of Japan (or as they call it in Korea, the East Sea).   We had a fantastic time!  It is about a three hour drive to their apartment, which in Korea is a long ways to travel for a weekend (I mean, its a small, landlocked country. They don't understand American style road trips).
We arrived Friday night and left Sunday afternoon.  It was a weekend full of relaxation, nature, reading, great conversation, coffee shops, a beautiful bike ride, and a picnic.  It's still rather cold here in Korea; spring just doesn't want to come. But it was a bit warmer this weekend, so it was great to be outside and play with friends.
