Korea

Sorry to interrupt our European blogging but we wanted to report that we made it safely back to Korea.  In fact, it's around 5:30am and all of our bags are unpacked.  We've been up since around 2:30am (gotta love jet lag).   We had a nerve racking beginning to our trip because our plane was delayed in Kansas City.   We should have had more than enough time to catch our flight in Detroit for Korea, but our plane had mechanical issues and was about an hour and a half late.  Needless to say, we arrived in Detroit at noon, were walking off the plane at 12:15, and our flight for Korea left at 12:30.   To add to the fun, our Korea flight was in a different terminal!  Tom and I literally ran as fast as we could to catch our flight and we barely made it!!! I think we got on the plane around 12:27.    We were so thankful that we were able to catch this flight because the other options were not pretty and would have gotten us to Korea around 3am.  When we arrived in Korea yesterday afternoon we were sweating it as we waited for our luggage but Delta came through for us and our bags made the tight connection too.  Overall we're doing pretty well.  We have today free to get some things done like starting our car which is assuredly dead in the school parking garage and going grocery shopping.

We really had a fantastic summer.  It's hard to believe that a new school year is starting tomorrow.  Here's to one last day of summer.
