Tom asked the group, "What do you call a German Shepard in Germany? Just a Shepard?"
This was later followed by, "When you get Swiss Cheese in Switzerland is just called cheese?"
When we left Munich our next destination was Reutte, Austria. This is a little town on the German/Austria border. We stayed here because it is near the Nieuwenstein Castle...think Magic Kingdom.
We weren't allowed to take pictures from inside the castle, but this is a picture from the inside looking out. It was so beautiful!
After checking out the castle we had a picnic on this riverbed area, and then we spent the afternoon at this lake nestled in the Alps.
While in Austria we also took a hike to see some castle ruins.
Our time is Austria was short but really enjoyable. It was great to take a break from big city life and hang out in the mountains.

Great photos! Looks as if you had a wonderful time.
When I was in India there was a Frennch girl working at the children's home who kept raving about this delicious bread our hosts had made one morning, but she didn't know what it was. When they made it again, I found out it was FRENCH toast!
