One of our summer highlights was celebrating the Fourth of July. Last year we were in Canada for the Fourth so we missed celebrating the good ole' US of A. This year were able to experience many classic US traditions. We started the morning off with a parade. My mom is the president of her DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) chapter so she was able to ride in the parade! Everett loved seeing Granny in a fancy car, wearing a fancy hat.

We finally got a decent picture of us and it was at Chick-fil-a.....ha!

AJ's first ice cream cone!
I borrowed my mom's fancy hat for this pic.
After Chick-fil-a and the boys' naps we headed to Gramps and Granny's house for dinner.
We were actually hoping Asher would sleep (ha!) through the fireworks but he woke up and enjoyed the show. He did great and seemed to really like the fireworks!
Hooray for America! Happy way belated birthday!
