Everett's 3rd Birthday Party

Friday we celebrated Everett's 3rd Birthday with an amazing train party.  His actual birthday is tomorrow (July 22nd) so we were a little a head of the game but E didn't mind.  The festivities started Thursday with the baking of the party favors; roughly 80 train cookies.

Everett had been requesting a Skarloey (the red engine above) Party for weeks.  We found ways to incorporate that lesser know Thomas character for him.

 We kicked off the evening with a photo shoot.  Everett is slowly getting better at looking at the camera and smiling.  However, the brother portion of the photo shoot was not quite as successful.

Mom had to intervene to get a somewhat reasonable picture.  Asher was not a fan of the hat.

 Once we got everything set up a the KC Northern Railroad Everett was invited to get his picture taken in the conductor's seat.  He didn't want to do it alone so I hopped in with him.

Now it was time for the party to get underway.

Let the rides begin!

E was super excited for his hour of non-stop train rides to get underway.

Even Asher rocked a train shirt for the party.

We rented out the services of the train for an hour and Everett (as well as many of the kids) never left the train for the whole hour.  It was amazing to watch all of them having so much fun.   After the rides were complete it was cake, ice cream, and present time!

E did a great job blowing out the candle.

And once that candle was out the very next thing he did was yank Skarloey off the cake. 

 

 

 

 

 

Bonnie and our friend Tabby did a great job managing the chaos that was opening presents.

That night when we got home and into the next morning Everett wasted no time getting into his gifts.  Here he is after winning his first game of Candy Land (with lots of help focusing from Bonnie)!  Thanks to everyone that came and made the occasion so special for Everett!
