One of the most common questions we get asked is, "How do you like being a homeowner?"
I would say overall it's been awesome. It's a lot of work, but it's awesome.
We've been working hard the past few weeks getting adjusted to our new jobs and settling into our new house. We've maxed out our move-in allowance and have accomplished a few of the pressing housing projects. The house is coming together. Here are some pics of how things have come together.
Below you can see Tom enjoying our new table. We grabbed this little guy at target to replace the folding table that had been there. It can fold out to be a 4 person table and there is also a little storage compartment for placemats. It's pretty nifty.
Our living room has gotten a lot of love lately. Here is a new accent chair and some new wall decor for our main living space.
Our biggest project was painting Everett's room. The walls were in pretty rough shape so over Memorial Day weekend we tackled his room.
This picture is a bit outdated because we've hung some pictures and filled in the empty picture frames, but you can see the general layout.
My parents also hooked Everett up with a new table and some storage bins. These don't usually hang out in our living room. This was just E modeling after we assembled them.

It's been fun to put our house together and this weekend we were able to host a house full of guests! Some of my best buds and their kids were in town so we got to stretch out our house a bit to fit everyone; we loved it. You can see Everett here with his lady friends.
