big boy

Like I mentioned earlier, Everett has been busting out of his swaddler (as evidence below):
I thought it was faulty velcro, but the more I analyzed the situation the more I realized that he may be too big for his small/medium swaddler.  So on a whim, I decided to try out his large size swaddler just to see if it was more comfortable for him.  I was shocked to find out it fits him really well (see below).  He's 3 WEEKS OLD and he needs a large! Wow!!!
The swaddler is great but I've begun to notice that baby boy loves to have his hands by his face and sometimes it seems like he gets so mad being the in the swaddler because it constricts his arms.  As a result, today we're going to try out just wearing a sleeper (how cute is that?) and see if he's a bit more content.
It's crazy how quickly things with a baby change.  I thought that I was figuring out this little guy, but it seems like every day his preferences are changing.  He is for sure keeping me on my toes.

Bonnie, both my kids were too big for those cute swaddlers. We had to just use Aden and Anais, which are great. We actually double blanketed Daniel because he needed the swaddler to sleep all night, but he was so strong he would break out, too. Elsa does really well with having one arm out of the swaddle. For winter, I think we'll just have her in a sleep sack with arm holes and let her flop around! She also sleeps really well on her side with her hands by her face, on her back her startle reflex is strong and she whacks her face a lot! (Just sharing in case this post gives you an extra half hour of sleep sometime!)
