We had our first basketball games today. Both teams won!

The girls won 20-12 and the boys won 47-27.

It was a great night and a good start to the season. The girls actually were down at half time 12-8, and we came back to win it. And if you check out the final score you'll notice that the other team did not score the entire second half! I am so proud of the girls and I'm really enjoying coaching.

The boys also did a great job. The guys came out with an early lead, having an 18-0 run at the beginning of the game. At half time the score was 30-9. All of the boys got a lot of playing time and the team looked strong. (Good job Coach Currey--former boy's coach--of laying a solid foundation last year.)

We have two more games tomorrow that should prove to be more intense competition. We'll let you know how they go and we'll try to post some pictures.
