fall fun

This weekend we did some local exploration. Suwon has an old castle and fortress that wraps around part of the city. It's actually really cool, so we decided to hop on the dragon trolley (see below) and take a tour of the fortress.


We actually had to kill an hour before we could go on the tour so we found some really cool trails and hang out spots.
After the tour we were able to just walk around and enjoy many of the fortress sights. This is us at one of the fortress posts.

After we saw the fortress sights we noticed that you could practice archery! It was only 2,000 Won (less than 2 bucks) and you we were able to play with bows and arrows. I was a little reluctant to do it because right before we bought our tickets there were like 20 kids doing it and that was basically it. Tom, however, was persistent and we decided to give it a go. During our archery session there were just three of us, Tom, myself and a little kid. I love this picture of Tom next to the little boy. haha...it was also great because our target looked like the mascot for the University of Arkansas! We got to kill some razorbacks! Yes!!!!

This was a very strange magnet (like what you would put on your fridge) that we found at one of the fortress gift shops. I can't believe someone would buy this!!!

Lastly, we met a man from the Netherlands and he took this great fall picture for us.

Overall it was a great fall day! We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect. This was one of those weekends that made us realize how much we enjoy life in Korea.
