Mini Meyer

It's baby time again at the Meyer house! We're pumped to welcome into our family "Mini Meyer" sometime around October 16th.  Everett has quickly learned to the word "baby" and sometimes will refer to my stomach as "baby" but I don't think our little man has any idea exactly how life is going to change in the coming months.  I feel confident that E will make a great big brother to our new addition.

You may have noticed we have been epically terrible at updating the blog.  We apologize.  One of the main reasons is that I have had pretty rough morning all day sickness.  Starting at about 6 weeks I have had a tough go of things.  I have been able to keep teaching (although, I don't even want to talk about how awesome of a teacher zombie I have been).  There has been a lot of nausea, puking, and laying on the couch.  All in all I have lost about ten pounds and I have been a somewhat non-existent member of the family, but I have been GROWING A BABY INSIDE OF ME so that's pretty cool and makes it all worth it.

I'm nearing 14 weeks now and when I was pregnant with Everett the terrible, awful morning sickness went away sometime between 14-16 weeks. The end is in sight!  I'm also pumped to report that I have been feeling so much better.   From when I wake up until 3pm-ish I feel pretty okay as long as I'm snacking and taking anti-nausea medicine (which honestly, hasn't helped me that much).  From 3pm-ish onward I still struggle and usually hang out on the couch quite a bit, but even that has been getting a bit better.  Praise the Lord.
Our latest family pic from Easter.

I'm also so blessed because I have an incredible husband.  I'm not joking when I say that I have been somewhat non-existent (or at least not very helpful) at home.  Tom has changed almost every diaper, made sure there was food on the table, has kept the house clean, gone to the grocery store with E every week....the list could go on.  I am married to Superman. Tom is an incredibly loving, selfless man.

Tom stealing E's Easter candy! Haha!
I've had a lot of people ask me, "How are things going with your pregnancy?"  So this post was designed to answer that question.  Sorry if it came out a bit whiney at times; my intent was not to complain but rather tell it how it is.  Overall, the family is surviving and we're overjoyed for our new little one.
